Jeannie Suzanna Pate Announces Plans to Enter the Peace Corps

Jeannie Suzanna Pate, a pediatric nurse based in Seattle, recently announced her plans to enter the Peace Corps

 
The Peace Corps is a wonderful organization that provides an array of volunteer opportunities for compassionate individuals. As an organization, the Peace Corps’ goal is to improve the lives of individuals in underdeveloped countries through volunteer work. Since its inception in 1960, the Peace Corps has attracted over 200,000 volunteers who have worked in over 100 countries. Jeannie Suzanna Pate, a highly respected pediatric nurse, recently announced her plans to join the Peace Corps.

As a child growing up in Eugene, Oregon, Jeannie Suzanna Pate learned the importance of helping others at a young age. Jeannie Suzanna Pate recalls volunteering in nursing homes and animal shelters prior to studying to become a nurse. When asked about her decision to join the Peace Corps, Jeannie Suzanna Pate had this to say: “I know that many countries are not equipped to provide quality medical care and I hope to make a difference.” Jeannie Suzanna Pate is aware of the urgent need for skilled medical professionals across the globe. Because of her compassionate nature, Jeannie Suzanna Pate has been led to join the Peace Corps.

In addition to medical professionals, the Peace Corps is in need of a range of skilled individuals. While providing health education is one goal of the Peace Corps, the larger goal is to help stabilize impoverished communities through training and resources. When asked her ideal role in the Peace Corps, Jeannie Suzanna Pate had this to say: “I believe I would be most beneficial providing health education and awareness, but really I am willing to do whatever is needed.”

Jeannie Suzanna Pate is an adventurous individual who enjoys the idea of traveling, learning a new language, and increasing her knowledge of other cultures. Although Jeannie Suzanna Pate doesn’t have a preference for where she will be stationed, Jeannie Suzanna Pate had this to say about her hopes for the Peace Corps: “I’m excited to go wherever I’m needed, but I would love to go to Africa.”

Jeannie Suzanna Pate reports that, once her duties are fulfilled, she hopes to return to the United States to pursue her Master’s Degree in Nursing.
