Having worked in the education consultancy space since October of 2005, James Armando Guerra is fully aware of many of the issues that schools in Austin, TX face. He has noticed that bullying, in particular, is often an issue for schools, which led him to consider ways that he could bring local communities together in order to tackle the problem.
This led him to creating New School Hero (NSH). The initiative, which is currently in the developmental stages but is due to launch very soon, is intended to provide resources to people who want to combat the issue of bullying, providing a forum for people to talk about issues and the potential solutions that could be put in place in order to prevent bullying in the future. https://www.linkedin.com/in/james-guerra-21a5434
The website related to NSH will allow for members of the community to get together in order to discuss bullying and the steps that can be taken in order to prevent it. It will also act as a forum for people who want to get together and organize events, with the aim of shining a spotlight on the issue to ensure everybody is aware of bullying.
The organization will also place a special focus on the role that social media plays, both in terms of cyber bullying and how it can be used to combat the issue. It will focus on positive use of social media, such as creating groups that act as a safe haven for those being bullied to express their feelings, using social media to arrange events and making us of it to find friends in places that bullying victims may never have visited before. The site will also contain resources relating to cyber bullying and the steps that can be taken to prevent it.
James Armando Guerra Austin TX is extremely passionate about this new project and hopes to expand it soon after launch by developing funding opportunities for causes of interest in Austin, TX and, eventually, the state as a whole.
