Jambon Boats Celebrates a Decade of Success

Jambon Boats has been in business since 2005 and is a name known among some of the largest oil and gas operations taking place off the shores of some of the world’s most oil and gas-producing regions.

 
In 2005, Jambon Boats was created in Louisiana under the leadership of Josh Jambon. It was the product of a vision that he had developed throughout the years, one of which would take off right from the start and attain a global reach within its first decade of business.

On the Jambon Boats website, a short history on Mr. Jambon’s road to discovering his business: “Josh Jambon, President of Jambon Marine Service, attended college at Nicholls State University in Louisiana where he obtained a degree in Business Management. After college, Mr. Jambon opened Super-Valu Marine Supply in support of offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico. In 2005, he recognized the increasing demand for offshore supply vessels within the Gulf of Mexico and formed Jambon Boat Rentals (presently known as Jambon Marine Service).

Jambon Boats has dedicated the last 25 years to servicing the oil and gas industry. After becoming recognized as an industry leader on the domestic front, Josh decided to expand internationally. In 1998, he took on the challenge to extend his services to Mexico and South America. Last year he broadened even further, setting up a local office in Ghana where the company not only offers its services, but also employs and trains native people on its equipment.”

Now in the present day, Jambon Boats is a name known among some of the largest oil and gas operations taking place off the shores of some of the world’s most oil and gas-producing regions. They have an active presence in Nigeria, which is the biggest oil supplier on the African continent. For South America, it is Brazil where Jambon Boats operated off the coast of Rio de Janiero. In Ghana, they have a number of remote operated vehicles ready for use as well as skilled technicians with the ability to assist in the toughest of jobs. The coast of Cyprus has recently been discovered as a rich area for oil drilling, and Jambon Boats is at the forefront. Most recently, Jambon scored a deal with the Costco Shipyard in Shanghai, China. The ability to work with one of the world’s biggest retailers in the world’s biggest economy marks a milestone in Jambon’s rise to the top of their class.
