Though Gregory Mariuzza is a committed academic, an individual dedicated to the ideas of both learning and receiving a quality education, he is also a committed member of the local Austin community. Through high-quality youth mentorship, Gregory Mariuzza continues to make a difference in local citizens’ lives, providing expert yet compassionate direction and guidance to the children of Wooldridge Elementary School.

Gregory Mariuzza participates in a mentorship program that affords him the chance to have a positive and lasting impact on the lives of underprivileged students. For the last three years, Mariuzza has been an active mentor and organizational leader, working one-on-one with both the program and young students to be a positive influence in the lives of young children, kids who may not otherwise have access to the guidance or commitment of a caring adult. He continues to meet with Wooldridge Elementary students on a weekly basis, providing an invaluable network of caring support that offers hope and confidence to young children.

Through his involvement with the Sigma Chi Fraternity, Gregory Mariuzza has striven to provide young children with healthy and competitive activities that encourage fair play, sportsmanship, and cooperation. Through the development and sponsorship of two consecutive elementary “field days”, Gregory Mariuzza has helped to create an atmosphere of fun, respect and healthy competition for all of Wooldridge’s students.

For Gregory Mariuzza, mentorship has been a challenging yet extremely rewarding experience, allowing him to make a real and lasting difference in the community. He believes that everyone should take advantage of the opportunity to help those in need, as the experience not only benefits the people receiving the help, but also the help providing it.

Gregory Mariuzza is currently a full-time college student. He is enjoying academic success as a student at the University of Texas McCombs School of Business, and has provided invaluable service to the Sigma Chi Fraternity for over three years. He is becoming an expert in business leadership, and is nearing the completion of the Management Information Systems undergraduate program. His anticipated UT graduation date is in the Spring of 2015.

Gregory Mariuzza hopes to continue to make a difference in people’s lives for many years to come.
