This October, Senior Vice President Gary Pizzati will celebrate 15 years at Cumulus Media. “I could not be happier with the path my career has taken,” Gary Pizzati stated, reflecting on his promotion to Senior Vice President in November of 2005. Gary Pizzati has served as Senior Vice President for the past eight years, a position well deserved after a quarter century of experience in the radio industry. Cumulus is the second largest owner and operator of AM and FM radio stations in the United States.

Gary Pizzati’s promotion was widely celebrated amongst his colleagues, who all value his skills and leadership as a senior executive. Furthermore, Gary Pizzati’s peers hold him in high regard for his professionalism and integrity in the workplace.

Gary Pizzati began his tenure at Cumulus in October of 1998, when he joined the company as Vice President / Market Manager in Augusta, Georgia. Gary Pizzati next moved to managing dual markets in Pensacola, Florida and Mobile, Alabama. Gary Pizzati’s efforts and success landed him a promotion to Regional VP and, ultimately, Senior Vice President.

Gary Pizzati also serves as the interim Market Manager for Cumulus in Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota, as well as San Francisco, California. Always willing to go the extra mile, Gary Pizzati’s strong work ethic and devotion to the Cumulus team are just a few reasons for his continued upward mobility.

Gary Pizzati has been an instrumental figure in developing and implementing the Cumulus “systems” approach to sales management. This approach is regarded as an innovation in performance enhancement for management in the radio industry.

As Senior Vice President, Gary Pizzati is responsible for revenue and operations in over 25 Cumulus Markets. On a daily basis, Gary Pizzati coaches and develops Regional Vice Presidents, local Market Managers, Sales Management, and Sales Talent. “Coaching is one of the most valuable aspects of my position,” Gary Pizzati states.
