Coaching is hard even for great coaches like Frank Lollino Jr.

Coaching basketball is a difficult thing to do. Coaching any sport is more difficult than most people think it is. It is very simple to forget all the things a coach is required to do. A coach runs a team who may or may not be motivated and may not even know each other. The coach recruits, conditions and hones the skills of his players. Any mistake the players make is partially blamed on the coach, and success is a difficult thing to attain in such situations. However, when a coach is successful, he is rarely the spotlight of attention. Usually, the attention of success is focused on a specific player or set of players, and the coach does not receive real recognition until he can consistently produce results.
Another aspect to coaching a team is that the coach must build a second family from little to no material. The coach spends so much time with this second family that it is difficult to go back to their real family at home. Coaches work long days and many hours, and even on days when they aren’t actively coaching they are an active part of their players’ lives. Coaching is one of the most difficult and most rewarding professions in the world. It is like teaching to an extent that usually requires more time.

The best coaches are able to balance their home life with their work life. They are able to build a healthy team from nothing, and consequently they are able to start winning games when the season starts. However, if everyone were a winner, there would be no actual winners. It is simple to look at successful coaches and say that winning is easy, but when a person is put into a coaching position and expected to bring a team from nothing that is hard enough. Creating a champion-caliber team is even more difficult.

Frank Lollino Jr. is a basketball coach who has been around for close to two decades. He has put in the time and effort and has made a champion-caliber team out of nothing. He has turned in two undefeated conference champion performances and keeps at it.
