Erin Cho, a professor at Parsons, The New School for Design, is a graduate of Seoul National University in Korea where she obtained both her B.A. and M.A. Immediately following graduation from Seoul National University, she went on to pursue her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her PhD in Supply Chain Management for Global Solutions and Consumer Behavior in 1998 from UW-Madison. Currently, Erin Cho is employed as a Strategic Design Management professor at the School of Design Strategies at Parsons, The New School for Design in New York City. She is a distinguished scholar, professor, and lecturer.
In 2009, Erin Cho received New School University’s Distinguished Teaching Award; the most significant lifetime teaching award offered by the institution. Every year, The New School recognizes faculty members that have been nominated by their students and colleagues as Distinguished University Teachers. In order to win this award, Erin Cho had to encompass the highest standards for teaching at Parsons. Most importantly, she had to demonstrate a passion for teaching and a remarkable capacity to transmit knowledge and inspire vital engagement with innovative ideas.
She is also an avid researcher for Parsons, The New School and has numerous scholarly publications.
