Dr. Jerome Abrams is well-known throughout the region for his dedication to quality family care, particularly as a 30-year physician for Dover Family Physicians . His recent efforts to support the local community, however, have helped to solidify his reputation as a caring and compassionate leader on his local community, someone who has consistently demonstrated his commitment to making a difference when and wherever he can.

Dr. Jerry Abrams was at the forefront of the effort to develop and build the local Picadilly Castle playground, which rests amongst the many historic buildings and beauty of the86 acre Brecknock County Park, located in Kent County, Delaware. Thanks to the efforts of both Dr. Abrams and numerous others throughout the community, local youth now have the opportunity to enjoy what is now the largest youth playground in the county.

Dr. Jerome Abrams spearheaded the effort to raise funds for the playground’s construction, and is proud of the success both he and his fellow volunteers achieved in the implementation of an amazing recreational opportunity for the local youth of the area. In addition to his involvement with the Picadilly project, Dr. Jerry Abrams has also been involved in numerous other youth-based efforts, including the organization of a bicycle repair shop at the Dover Interfaith Mission for Housing and 10 years of involvement with the Dover’s Children’s Theater.

Dr. Abrams is glad to have had the chance to do something positive, inspiring and resonating for the local community, and to provide children a great way to exercise and enjoy the benefits of Brecknock County Park. Dr. Jerome Abrams is a firm believer in the value of outdoor activity in a young person’s life, as such activity can help throughout a child’s development while providing and encouraging a healthier, more productive lifestyle.

Dr. Jerry Abrams enjoys any chance to make a difference for the community of Dover and the surrounding region. He is now a practicing family physician at Family Medicine of Smyrna-Clayton, where he continues to pursue the best in treatments and care for every individual he has the opportunity to serve. He is valued member of the local community.
