When Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries brought Dr Chad Audi on board back in 1997, they could not have known what a smart move they were making. At that time, Dr Chad Audi was working in the finance department at the nonprofit, and was not yet a spiritual and business leader in the community. But it didn’t take long for DRMM’s people to realize what they had in Dr Chad Audi. He rose quickly through the ranks, becoming the VP of Finance in short order, and in 2005 the board appointed him President and CEO of the operation. Since then Dr Chad Audi has guided DRMM to doing greater good in the community, balancing their financial budget, and serving as a spiritual guidepost for the company’s workers and for the people they serve.
DRMM is tackling the big project of helping Detroit’s numberless homeless, addicted and abused. Since Dr Chad Audi took the reins eight years ago, DRMM has grown to its largest reach ever, serving thousands to tens of thousands of those in need in various capacities. According to Dr Chad Audi, DRMM offers homeless shelters, food banks, assistance programs for those struggling with addiction, counseling for those suffering from abuse, and more. Dr Chad Audi is very proud of the work DRMM does in Detroit and of his own role in facilitating and overseeing that work.
“It is extremely gratifying to see the results that I have been fortunate enough to achieve through DRMM in my eight years as CEO and President,” Dr Chad Audi says modestly. “I firmly believe that this company is doing the greatest good for the greatest number of people in the long-suffering city of Detroit, and the fact that I have a hand in it all is exciting and humbling. Thank God for allowing me to be part of this wonderful experience.”
Dr Chad Audi is not shy about his spirituality, being a devout Christian and a deeply spiritual man. This helps him to maintain the right attitude as a leader, he says, and the mentality of wanting to help all those in need, all the time.
