Dr. Abubakar Durrani, the founder of CAST (the Center for Advanced Spine Technologies) and MISI (the Minimally Invasive Spine Institute), will be opening two new office locations in the coming months, one in Dayton, OH and one in Columbus, OH. Dr. Abubakar Durrani has had a highly regarded career as a spinal care expert and researcher, focusing his efforts on minimally invasive treatments for spinal issues. His efforts and tireless dedication in the field have earned Dr. Abubakar Durrani top honors and awards, including his selection as one of America’s Top Orthopedists in 2011 and garnering the Award of Honor in Orthopedic Surgery from the National Institute of Medicine in 2013. His research has led to many advances in minimally invasive treatments, and many procedures can now be performed as outpatient procedures at his clinics. He has been the recipient of nearly $2 million in research grants and continues to foster a spirit of progress in the field.
Dr. Abubakar Durrani studied pre-med and medicine in his native Pakistan, then moved to the U.S.A. where he received orthopedic residency training at the University of Cincinnati. He is licensed in Ohio and Kentucky.
