Clelio Ferreira Leite has led a remarkable career. Clelio has been involved in the management and sustainment of complex ballistics systems, radar guidance systems, and naval trajectory systems both as a soldier and civilian. Clelio's understanding of communication technology and experience in the field is second to none. Clelio says he owes this understanding however, only to a proper education. Clelio says that without a thorough and strong educational foundation, that anything you build your life and career upon, will be too shaky to sustain. That is why Clelio pursued his higher education with an appetite as insatiable and goal oriented as his career both in and out of the Navy. Clelio got the majority of his education in the Navy, and in 1982, Clelio began his Bachelor's degree in Naval Military Science at the Portugual Naval Academy. He would graduate with the diploma in 1987, then a few years later begin to further his education even more.In 1993, Clelio Ferreira Leite would graduate yet again from the U.S. Naval Post Graduate School with a Master's Degree in Physics, with a specialization in Optical Signal Detection and Propogation, as well as Missile Engineering.

Clelio Ferreira Leite has always impressed in every facet of his life, and his time with the Portuguese Navy was no exception. During Clelio's time with the navy, he would continue to distinguish himself for exemplary service and duty. Clelio would make many of these distinguishments for himself during his time as Chief of Weapons Systems Division within the Portuguese Navy. In 2003 Clelio was promoted to commander, his specific designation was the Chief of Weapons System. This was given to Clelio because of his extensive education and experience with complex electrical systems. Clelio's responsibilities as commander of the division were many, including the management of all effectors and weapon systems, armaments, electro-optical surveillance, and targeting sensors being utilized by the surface fleet and Marine Corps throughout its life cycle.

Clelio Ferreira Leite simply has an impeccable record of excellence and service throughout his career as a civilian and a soldier. Clelio has demonstrated over his lifetime a sense of responsibility to his community, to his nation, and to the world at large. Clelio's commitment to service is an example to everyone what people are capable of if they are willing to work towards something bigger than themselves.
