Andrew Crumbie is the founder and manager of the Crumbie Law Group LLC, which is the largest state certified Minority Business Enterprise law firm in the Northeast Region of the United States. After being founded in 2008, the firm quickly became trusted counsel to some of the region’s most sophisticated law departments, businesses, multi-national corporations, financial institutions, healthcare facilities, non-profit entities, and individuals.

Prior to setting up his practice, Crumbie was a law enforcement officer for 20 years. He began with the Connecticut State Police, where he served as a Detective, Sergeant, and Chief of Staff to the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner to the Division of Scientific Services. For a number of years, Crumbie was assigned to the Connecticut Federal Bureau of Investigation as a task agent, where he worked closely with the Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Crumbie was also a task agent for the Connecticut FBI, and as a task agent he was responsible for investigating different categories of violations related to national security and federal law. He was able to assist with the development of risk mitigation policies, regulatory structures and conducted criminal investigations into fraud, forgery, bribery, counterfeiting, racketeering and related white collar crimes in the gaming industry. When he worked with the FBI and the Office of the United States Attorney, Crumbie participated in numerous Grand Jury investigations into national criminal syndicates.

Andrew Crumbie received his law degree from the Massachusetts School of Law where he was awarded the Massachusetts’s Black Judges Conference Book award for academic achievement. He was also the recipient of the High Achiever in Law “Lawyers of Colour” feature of the Connecticut Law Tribune. His other achievements include the following appointments: the Client Security Fund Committee, appointed by the Connecticut Supreme Court Chief Justice; the Cultural Competency Committee of the Public Service and Trust Commission, appointed by the Connecticut Supreme Court Chief Justice; Chairman of the Connecticut Citizenship Fund Committee, appointed by the Connecticut Secretary of State; the Malta House of Care board member; the St. Francis Foundation board member; and the Wilson Gray YMCA board of managers.
