She also was awarded Airman of the Year, Woman of the Year, and S.P. of the year because of her commitment to her work and the quality of her results in the field. Further demonstrating her quality as an airman, Air Force Amy was promoted twice before her piers due to her excellence.

Air Force Amy served as an Air Base Ground Defense Instructor as well as an Anti-Terrorism Specialist. She worked with a variety of other military services within the Air Force and within other branches of the military. This work allowed her to work in a variety of places, including the Philippines, California, Las Vegas, and more. This service gave her the perspective and skills she needed to succeed once she finished her career in the Air Force.
