Western PA’s New Two-Year “Energy Industry Training Series” Set to Provide the Complete Landscape to the Rising Energy Community

The 2 Year, 12 Part Training Series Will Be the Most Comprehensive Energy and Shale Seminar Series to Date

PITTSBURGH, PA - Starting this June, Young Professional in Energy (YPE) and 30+ year energy veterans Armstrong Search Associates has team up to produce the most comprehensive, 12 part (over 2 years) titled “Energy Industry Training Series”

The kickoff event, set for June 5th, 2013, at the DoubleTree Meadowland (Washington), focuses on a comprehensive overview of the play, including topics ranging from leasing, to pipeline and infrastructure, and finallyon the future economic trends of the Shale play. Already gaining notable speakers such as Dave Spigelmyer (VP Government affairs, Chesapeake Energy), Richard Fitzgerald (Allegheny County Executive), Bertie Taylor (Editor, Rigzone.com), and Mark R. Kempic (President of Columbia Gas of Maryland and Pennsylvania), the event looks to provide audience members with corporate, governmental, press, and environmental perspectives regarding issues in the Shale.

Thomas Schmaus, VP of Armstrong Search and co-founder of the event, started out on this mission because he saw something fundamentally missing from other events.

“Other training programs focus on one aspect of the industry. They do this to their detriment. Attendees never learn the big picture. No service can be provided in a vacuum…and our series will allow attendees to learn about the whole shale play. Through our 12 part series, they will be able to spot trends, grow additional profit streams, and avoid costly mistakes.“

The remaining events will go on to cover a diverse set of topics, ranging from engineering obstacles in the shale to the financial and economic hurdles. Early sponsorships and support from organizations like Landmen.Net, Brickler&Eckler, and ToGo media, along with over 10,000 YPE members, give clear indications that the Shale community is ready to jump on board for such a series. Each event is approved for C.L.E. Credits.
