Miami, FL - Jesus Zeus Salas is proud to announce his ongoing commitment to helping local Miami students achieve excellence through his involvement with the Miami-Dade County Public School Juvenile Justice Center. Jesus Zeus Salas, who works in the radio and broadcasting industry, first got involved with the school in December of last year.

“After serving as principal for a day at the Miami-Dade County Public School Juvenile Justice Center, I realized how important it is for members of the community to get involved with the education of local kids and teens, and how much influence we can have,” remarked Jesus Zeus Salas.

In December of 2012, Jesus Zeus Salas was invited by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce to visit the Juvenile Justice Center to lend his professional skills and experience to administrators, teachers, and students. While at the school, he helped teachers set up new computer programs in their classrooms and spoke with computer technicians to streamline many of the schools’ systems.

According to Jesus Salas, however, he felt that the most important part of his visit was giving a motivational talk to students and answering their questions about the entertainment business. “The students I spoke with all had very big plans for their futures, and were eager to learn more about how to achieve their goals,” commented Jesus Zeus Salas. “It really inspired me to work further with students and give them the tools that they need to succeed in life beyond school.”

Since his experience as principal for a day, Jesus Zeus Salas has continued to work with the Miami-Dade County Public School Juvenile Justice Center as a member of the Education Excellence School Advisory Committee, by invitation of Superintendent Daryl Borroff Wolf. “I’ve continued to work closely with students and teachers alike,” said Jesus Zeus Salas. “As I’ve gotten to know the individuals associated with the school more closely, I’ve become even more invested in making sure that the students here can achieve whatever they set their minds to.”

Jesus Zeus Salas says that he looks forward to additional work with the school, its teachers, and its students.
