January 12, 2015, Salt Lake City, UT — Great Salt Lake Clothing Co. has been selected by the Utah Film Commission to design a t-shirt for the filmmakers at the 2015 Sundance film festival. “Working with local artists gives us another opportunity to showcase just how much creativity and innovation is happening in Utah.” The shirt was created by up-and-coming clothing designers, Mike Martin and David Marquardt.

The design ties Utah, the host state of the Sundance Film Festival, to its love of film. Utah has been the backdrop for over 900 films since the 1920’s and home to the Sundance Film Festival for over 30 years. Film appreciation has become part of the local culture and the partnership between Great Salt Lake Clothing Co. and the Utah Film Commission exemplifies this passion.

The t-shirts will be distributed to this year’s filmmakers when they arrive to festival HQ to check in. Both men’s and women’s styles were created to give filmmakers all the more reason to show off their “Love Utah Film” shirts on the red carpet this year.
