South Birmingham, Alabama - Bruce Heen believes strongly in spending quality time with family or taking personal time outside of work to enjoy some of the small and fun things that life has to offer. Bruce Heen knows how easy it is to get caught up in the stress of work, but he is aware that there is much life to be lived outside of the office, too. “I’ve worked very hard building my career. I’ve changed positions and relocated, but I know that it is equally important to take vacations and focus on things other than work,” says Bruce Heen.

Part of how Bruce Heen has spent enjoying life outside of his work is through traveling. Bruce Heen has worked as an accountant since 1980. During his professional working career, he has lived in Wisconsin, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama. He has also dedicated much hard work to advancing his career, as well. “The first promotion I received was when I moved to Georgia to take the position of Southeast Accounting Manager. Now, I work for Protective Life Insurance Company and hold the title of Vice President for my department,” says Bruce Heen.

While Bruce Heen knows how important a successful career is for everyone, he also has enjoyed dedicating time to enjoy the sights and sounds of life around him. So how has Bruce Heen taken to enjoying life outside of work? He tells us, “I enjoy traveling and have been to Germany, France, and Switzerland.” And Bruce Heen has traveled around the United States as well. He’s visited many national travel destinations such as the, “Grand Canyon, Yellowstone National Park, the Pacific Northwest, Yosemite, and the Great Smokies.”

Bruce Heen enjoys traveling greatly, but he is also aware that there are other ways to enjoy life besides traveling around the world or country. Bruce Heen, like many Americans, also finds enjoyment outside of work by watching sports. He enjoys watching both professional and college sports. So even if you don’t have the time, desire, or money to enjoy traveling, Bruce Heen encourages everyone to find something to enjoy outside of work.
