In most cases, men will find screening recommended starting around the age of 50. Screening can lead to early detection and life-saving treatment.


• Many treatments are available – Prostate cancer has a tremendously high survival rate thanks to a combination of two things: early detection and a variety of very effective treatment options. Men who are diagnosed with the disease should review all options carefully with their healthcare providers.

“Prostate cancer is a potential reality for all men,” says Dr. Echt. “Early detection and treatment, however, can give men a strong edge in beating the disease.”
