"I'm Good!" promises to be a poignant, thought-provoking, and entertaining exploration of authenticity and the performative nature of society."

In the midst of industry-wide strikes for both writers and actors, the dynamic duo of young, queer filmmakers, Jonathan Tysor and Izzy Watts, refuse to be stifled. Jonathan Tysor, a screenwriter, and actor with a passion to highlight underrepresented stories, and Izzy Watts, an accomplished director with a remarkable background, are set to make waves with "I'm Good!" a short film that breaks barriers and challenges societal norms.

Teaming up with casting powerhouse Deborah Maxwell Dion and award-winning writer and filmmaker Hadley Dion, Tysor and Watts are ready to bring their vision to life. The project, set to commence filming in December, is backed by Skye Film Studios, an independent production company founded by Latinx filmmaker Sahvannah Rae and Producer Skye Bleu.

"I'm Good!" is not just a film; it's a statement. The project boldly champions underrepresented voices with a queer, female director (Izzy Watts), a female casting director and lead actor (Deborah Maxwell), and a queer writer and lead actor (Jonathan Tysor). The narrative delves into the challenges of balancing personal and professional life, tackling emotional turmoil and societal expectations. The film's central theme revolves around the facade of 'being good' in a conformist culture. The story humorously explores the consequences of such conformity and challenges audiences to engage in meaningful conversations that go beyond surface-level pleasantries.

Jonathan Tysor, the writer and lead actor, comments on the film's authentic approach: "This story is darkly hilarious, Hollyweird, and heartbreaking. It is also undeniably and authentically queer. But it does not have to be; the story would be just as engaging if the leading character was straight. As a queer filmmaker (and human being), I believe it is important to increase representation of queer characters in which they are not inherently tied to their sexuality. Queer people’s stories can simply be stories."

Director Izzy Watts, with an impressive background working alongside industry giants such as Kevin Smith, Mindy Kaling, and Chuck Lorre, brings her unique perspective to the project. Having written and directed five films, some of which have graced international film festivals, Watts is poised to lend her creative expertise to "I'm Good!"

Casting director and lead actor, Deborah Maxwell Dion, brings her extensive 27 years of experience in casting, having worked on more than 125 titles including notable films like "Good Will Hunting," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and "The Grand Budapest Hotel." The ensemble is further strengthened by Hadley Dion, an award-winning writer, producer, and filmmaker, who serves as the 1st AD.

Skye Film Studios, the production company behind the project, was formed by Latinx filmmaker Sahvannah Rae and Producer Skye Bleu in 2021. The studio is committed to creating quality content with a diverse slate that amplifies authentic and original female voices.

"I'm Good!" promises to be a poignant, thought-provoking, and entertaining exploration of authenticity and the performative nature of society. The film's message transcends boundaries, inviting audiences to reflect on the honesty behind the simple question, "How are you?"
