Steps to fix the Ink Cover Open Error In Brother Printer
To fix this issue, properly reinstall the ink cover and then close the ink cover.

1. Close the Ink - Cartridge cover
Open the cartridge cover located in the front of the machine, on the right side.
Close the ink door securely.
- If the message disappears from the screen, then the issue is resolved.
- If a different message is displayed, refer to the solution for the message displayed on the screen.
- If the message still persists, then go to the next step

2. Reset the Ink - Cartridges
Again open the cover and press down on the release levers to release all 4 ink cartridges. Note- Do not remove the cartridge/ toner from the machine.
Push each of the 4 cartridges in slowly until it clicks into place and the lever will be in the upright position and close the door securely.
- If the message disappears from the screen, then the issue is resolved.
- If a different message is displayed, refer to the solution for the message displayed on the screen.
- If the message still persists, then go to the next step

3. Reboot the printer
Unplug the AC power cord from the power outlet for 5 seconds.
Plug the AC power cord back in.
- If the message disappears from the screen, then the issue is resolved.
