Plata America’s second phase took 7-months to complete and qualified cathode copper production has yielded around 9,000 tonnes. Plata America are also preparing cobalt production at a site on the outskirts of its San Luis Potosi mine.

Plata America’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Ramon Fernandez commented on the copper cathode production saying “Plata America is pleased to announce the completion of the second phase of copper cathode production at our San Luis Potosi project site. We will continue to optimize the construction and organization of the production processes.”
