During his time in this position he has created and presented a groundbreaking Cyber Liability business model that enabled the department to entertain various exposures successfully. He has developed professional lines that address cyber security issues and has authored numerous white papers on the current cyber liability problem. Over a ten-year period, he has achieved a combined gross loss ratio under thirty percent, with a total gross written premium of more than $25,000,000. He is responsible for producing 48 percent of the department premium within the company.

Philip Deramo was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and grew up in Easton, Connecticut. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and General Business from the Sacred Heart University. He completed his Juris Doctorate in 1987 at Quinnipiac University School of Law. After successfully completing Law School, he went onto become a successful attorney before becoming a results driven and highly accomplished Insurance Underwriting Professional. He has a broad base of knowledge that concerns primary and reinsurance underwriting, litigation and claims management, contract and policy wording, exposure and rate modeling, and business planning and financial planning. When he is not busy with his career, he enjoys playing the guitar and coaching Pop Warner football.
