He was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the University of Akron in 2002 and rewarded for Valedictorian of Polymer Science and Technology School from the University of Mysore in 1998. He also received a National Merit Scholarship from the Government of India in 1993.

[b]Shashi Doni[/b] has completed Bachelor of Engineering, Polymer Science and Technology (1998) from the University of Mysore, and obtained his Master of Science degree in Polymer Engineering in 2000. Currently, he is pursuing his Master of Science, Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Akron. He is a certified CFA level 3 Candidate, Sun Certified Java Programmer, Brainbench C++.

He is an experienced IT architect and executive with expertise in various advanced technologies. Over the course of his tenure, he has developed, delivered, and managed a wide range of state-of-the-art, high performance, and fault tolerant financial applications. He started his professional career as a team leader with Bloomberg L.P. Later, he worked for reputed organizations like Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Barclays Capital, and BNP Paribas. Currently he runs an IT consulting firm, in addition to his role as Portfolio Manager and CTO at a boutique firm in NYC. He is a result-oriented professional with focus on team building and management, implementing standards, procedures, and processes to improve business functionality. His experience and knowledge has helped his clients drastically enhance development productivity and quality while reducing implementation time. Shashi is a family man and loves to spend time with his wife and kids. During his free time he likes to volunteer, play tennis, racquetball, squash, and badminton. He loves to read books, watch movies, and is always curious to learn about latest technology.
