In the same year, TKMS and Saab developed Horizontal Multi-Purpose Locks (HMPLs) and Vertical Multi-Purpose Locks (VMPLs), that were fitted into the A26 submarines, to carry more number of torpedoes, land-attack missiles, and anti-ship missiles.
