At OralCare4U our vision is for people to be able to keep their teeth for life. It is our aim to raise awareness of preventive dental care, interdental cleaning and the connection between oral and general health

We all know that cleaning our teeth daily is imperative. Not only is it good for your teeth, but there are also a range of other health benefits that the simple process of cleaning your teeth can fix. At OralCare4U, we know how important it is to have clean teeth – and we know how important it is to look further than the surface.

What do we mean by that?

Although you might spend minutes every day cleaning your teeth, do you know how clean they really are? Have you considered that between your teeth there still lies a plethora of bacteria that could be causing issues for your teeth, gums and other health problems?

That’s why interdental cleaning is so important. Interdental cleaning is not just cleaning your teeth with a toothbrush, but by going beyond the surface clean, and getting into the root of things. Flossing and brushes that clean between the teeth are imperative to a healthy mouth.

Here are some of the reasons why brushing your teeth, and cleaning them property both between the teeth and on the surface, is imperative:

At OralCare4U, we know no-one likes bad breath, so by brushing your teeth (and tongue) you can remove most of the foul odours that take up residence in your mouth. You need to ensure you clean well between the teeth otherwise it can lead to bad breath and gum infection.

Dental Health. Not brushing your teeth or cleaning them properly may result in bacteria forming in your mouth, which can cause infections, gingivitis, cavities, and even mouth sores. If you brush your teeth properly, you could avoid too many visits to your local dentist. On the other hand, if you happen to contract gingivitis or any other physical ailment as a result of not taking the proper care, you’ll have to pay a dentist or doctor a visit. By brushing daily, you can avoid unnecessary trips to the dentist, thereby saving you time and money.

Not looking after your teeth can also be detrimental to your mental health. Other side effects of not brushing your teeth properly (including interdental) are low immune system which in turn can lead to diseases such as Alzheimers and dementia. Studies show that unhealthy gums increase the chances of gaining these ailments by up to 40%. Not to mention your physical health. The less you brush your teeth, the more bacteria will form. This increases the chances of it flowing into your bloodstream, which could lead to a heart attack, or even a stroke. The added influx of bacteria into the bloodstream makes one more likely to get diabetes as well.

And finally, confidence. Studies show that people who brush their teeth feel more confident when they leave the house. The minty taste reminds them that their teeth are clean, and it makes it easier for them to smile in public. A smiling person shows confidence, and a confident person succeeds.

So, don’t wait around. Get the right brushes to keep your teeth healthy!
