Author Hamilton C. Burger released “Amazing Journey”, the third book in “The Apple Grove Gang” series,for middle grade readers. The book follows the escapades of Bug Beetle, Benny Churchill, Moe Harris, Cindy Carter, fifth graders at Apple Grove Elementary School.

Set in 1960, “Amazing Journey” sees The Apple Grove Gang time travel to the old west to solve a big bank robbery, and save a gigantic sign shaped like a donut in the late 1930's.

The story starts with gang racing across Miller's Field. Bug has never beat Benny in a race. Today would be the day that Bug gets his opportunity to beat Benny. They use the time machine to go back and start the race over and over, still Bug doesn't win. Finally Bug lets the others get far ahead, he goes back in time, sets up a surprise by Lost Silver Creek for the others and hides a limb for Benny to trip over. Long story short...Bug is able to show how the time machine can be used for good or for bad and they decide to only use it for good.

Readers soon discover the bank announced they were having financial problems...the gang uses the time machine found in book #2 “Gold Fever” and travels back to 1872 to find the money from a bank robbery that took place then.
