With such high prices, it has almost become impossible like a dream for the citizens in Delhi to have a place that they can call their own. This initiative taken by the Delhi government aims to provide “housing for all” by 2021. 

The Delhi Government has already started working towards the Master Plan Delhi 2021, in the form of various schemes such as the Delhi Awas Yojna, Adhikari Awas Yojna, and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna. The deadline is to complete a number of residential units by the end of 2021 i.e. over a span of 5 years. The Delhi Awas Yojna also promotes women empowerment as it has a number of residential units reserved for the women.
