My Wings has just announced that the company has established a new partnership with Pay It Forward Sweden with the intention of helping children throughout Sweden with special needs in their healing process. My Wings has recently invented uniquely styled children’s shirts that have wings.

The company’s ‘Giving Wings’ campaign is a global initiative where these shirts will be given away to children than have been subjected to extreme hardships through various harsh circumstances, including newly arrived refugee children. In addition to Pay It Forward Sweden, My Wings has also teamed up with Shriners Hospital for Children- Northern California® as part of this campaign.

My Wings is a socially responsible start-up based in Gothenburg/ Ale, Sweden. Their winged shirts have been designed artistically to emulate the wings of butterflies, dragons, and fairies. The designer claims that these shirts can fuel a child's learning and development through creative playfulness. The shirts have been made using 100% organic cotton body fabric and are Fairtrade produced.

The Pay It Forward organization works relentlessly towards creating a more caring society. And serves as a catalyst to “inspire growth for the Pay It Forward philosophy, acts of kindness Among Strangers, Generating a ripple effect from one person to the next, one community to the next.” The organization is volunteer-based and serves thousands of children and families in need of help throughout Sweden.

Highlighting the importance of philanthropic programs such as ‘Giving Wings’ the founder of Pay It Forward Sweden, Marielle Peterson, stated, "By giving them their wings back, it means a lot. It's a symbol of freedom, the wings itself instill so much hope...Just playing with wings symbolizes I can fly where ever I want to, nurturing the most important part of your spirit."

The concept of the ‘Giving Wings’ campaign has been created by the Founder of My Wings, Lee Giove. While working as a music teacher in his younger days, Lee had a feeling that wings can encourage a sense of freedom and empowerment in the little ones. Now, after the launch of the campaign in Sweden and America, Lee is looking to expand the program all over the world in collaboration with different children's supportive organizations.

Talking about this unique charity program, Lee states, “Each shirt comes with an activity booklet that playfully helps develop confidence, self-esteem, and creative exploration. My Wings is committed to every child’s right for a safe, healthy and playful life with dreams for a happy and fulfilling future.”

Lee has also launched an Indiegogo campaign to support this global charity program. Funds received from this fundraiser will be spent for the initial production run and delivery of theMy Wings shirts, expansion of the ‘Giving Wings’ program, and the creation of an e-commerce site. Visitors to the campaign page can both contribute My Wings shirts through the ‘Giving Wings’ program and also purchase shirts for their own children or children they know. The campaign was launched on March 1st and will end on April 14th.
