Plano, TX, June 10, 2016 – Helping obese teenagers lose weight through surgical intervention is generally considered an option of last resort. The sleeve gastrectomy procedure involves the surgical removal of a portion of the stomach. Once this is completed, the remaining stomach is reshaped to resemble a banana. This surgery helps patients better control their hunger while also effectively limiting the stomach’s ability to hold food.
