As someone who grew up with an innate interest in constructible components, Nicholas Dematteis was determined to succeed in the field of architecture. The years that he spent at the University of Colorado proved to be invaluable for his career, but as a socially sensitive person, he also knew that he wanted to do more. He aspired to provide aid for those who have fewer chances than he did to make a successful career for themselves. Turning his knowledge, and his love for architecture, into a valuable tool, he began to aid the underprivileged in their needs for housing.

Habitat for Humanity International provided Nicholas with a great platform for helping, and with various locations in the United States and even in Colorado, he was able to make a tremendous impact on his community without even having to leave the country.

Habitat for Humanity is an international nonprofit organization with a presence on five continents, in dozens of countries.
