Local contractor has served his local community for years.

For more than a decade, local contractor Nathan Chesebro has worked hard to better his community of Bristol, Maine. With his wife, Jennifer, he is the co-founder of Chesebro Construction, Inc. His hard work and dedication to the community and its citizens is evident through his many charitable acts.

In 2004, local Brisrol Mills’ residents Howard and Annette Bryant, were left homeless due to a house fire. Their destroyed home was historically significant to the town. Chesebro and his crew sought assistance from the community to form a brigade of people willing to help rebuild the Bryant's home. Leading this group was an endeavor that he was exceedingly proud of. Through the support he was able to garner, the Bryant's received a new home free of charge and an outpouring of generosity from the community that was never forgotten.

In 2012, Nathan Chesebro again demonstrated his commitment to Bristol and his fellow residents when he spearheaded a safety project in the area. Concerned for the safety of local school children who visited the Weymouth House Community Center in Pemaquid, he sought to build a protective wall around the area that kept passing cars at a safe distance. Along with a group of local volunteers, they were able to erect a barrier and fence all the way around the perimeter of the community center, ensuring that no child would get too close to an automobile on the road.

Chesebro and his wife have had a long standing affinity for the history and culture of Bristol. This was further demonstrated when they elected to use a giant saw blade from the 1900s as their Chesebro Construction, Inc sign on Route 130 in Bristol. The saw blade was once used to help build a number of historic homes in the area by the now closed Poole Brothers Lumber Mill.

Other areas where Nathan Chesebro shows his community support is through financial and volunteering contributions to local organizations such as the Damariscotta Montessori School, the local YMCA in Lincoln County, the Damariscotta River Association, and the Healthy Kids of Lincoln County organization.
