Nanci Kushner is one of Bergen County, New Jersey’s most successful and sought-after Pilates instructors. She started her practice, NPK Pilates, after retiring from teaching elementary school. She had always been passionate about instructing others and about exercising and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and a Pilates business was a great way to combine these two passions. NPK attracts many clients from throughout New Jersey and New York, and is very exclusive, acquiring most of their clients of a referral-only basis. Kushner offers both individual and group instruction. She is very social and loves developing a friendly and close relationship with her clients and helping them get in the best shape of their lives.

Nanci Kushner was born in New York City, and was raised in the town of Monsey, New York, which is located about an hour’s drive northwest of Manhattan. She attended Syracuse University for her undergraduate degree, which is where she met her husband, David Kushner. David Kushner is a principal investor at Paradigm Capital Group, as well as the co-founder and CFO of DivorceForce. She and David have now been married for over thirty years, and have three wonderful children. Kushner loves spending time with her family, particularly going on runs and watching movies with them.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Kushner later went back to school at Fordham University in New York to obtain her master’s degree in education. She then became a grade school teacher, a career which she happily enjoyed for many years. Upon retiring, she still wanted to teach and share her passion with others, so she started her Pilates business. Some of Kushner’s other hobbies and interests include running, playing tennis and basketball, fashion and shopping, and art. She is very involved in many charitable organizations, and also volunteers at Englewood Hospital. Kushner is known for her personal style, and has even been featured in (201) Magazine for her classic yet glamorous look.
