1)Closed position: In the closed position, the actuator directs compressed air to one side of the actuator, creating a force that holds the valve disc against the flow direction, sealing the valve shut.
2)Opening the valve: When a signal is sent to open the valve, the actuator redirects the compressed air to the opposite side of the actuator. This causes the actuator to move, rotating the valve disc away from the flow direction.
