Inside RuneScape is this pesky little system that plays a rather painful in all of our lives who like to tackle the "God Wars Dungeon" every now and again; this system goes by the name of kill counting. Since the game doesn't actually have a kill count or tracker that keeps track of how many of that god's followers you've killed. Having to run to the entry to the boss, only to discover you have absolutely have no idea how many kills you are away from opening the damn door can quickly become frustrating, so I've devised a few ways to "kill count" of your own accord, without wanting to tear out your own hair by the end of it.

In Your HeadQuite possibly the most obvious and the dullest method are by counting 1 or 2 after every successful kill(s). It may not be the most entertaining, but it's a tried and tested method that will work every instance you use it, providing you are paying enough attention to your numbers whilst you're playing. However, if you do have some distractions on in the background, you might lose your place on where you were counting, so be sure to test out some of the others to see how they work out for you.Count in Chat.

There are a number of channels you can access when playing throughout RuneScape and the nearby general one is the perfect excuse to keep track of your kill count, without irritating everyone around you with your insistent counting or getting lost with trying to keep track of them yourself. Basically, all you've got to do is start from 0 and every time you get a kill, type in chat what number you're up to now.

Say that you're currently on 28/40 and you've just killed 3 followers who count for the kill count, all you've got to do is add 3 to that number and you've got 31/40. You don't even need to add the "/40" part, as that just reminds you what your ultimate goal is, but from a simple perspective, this is a personal favourite of mine.

Write it DownGrab a pen and paper and after every single kill you make, write down the next number in the sequence; easy! Providing, you feel that it's necessary or you simply want to, you can make a typical tally chart that goes in multiplications of 5, so after every 5 kills you place a mark until you've eventually got a total of 40.

When it comes to this method, it really doesn't matter how you structure it, simply any way that you can read, mark, and understand will do just perfectly. At this point, it's all personal preference!Use Tools to Keep ScoreThere are a lot of tools out in the world that you can use for this system, but two of the most useful would have to be your mobile phone or a tally counter; which in this respect is effectively the same.

On your phone, you can download an app where you simply tap a button that will increase the number whenever you press it; so after you make a kill, tap your phone, and it will keep track of it for you without you having to put in any real effort.

This exact same method works with the tally counter, which if you don't have one already, you might as well just use your phone, as the apps you get for it are bound to be free; whereas a tally counter might cost some cash to purchase. All you've got to do is click the button on the counter whenever you make a kill and after you've finally hit the total of 40, you can head straight to the boss, without worrying about the door seeming like it is closed 24/7!Read this!
