Noida, 12th December 2019: As a renowned Cambridge secondary school in Noida, Amity Global stays in news for the consistent scholastic and co-curricular achievements of its students. After hosting the Swiss delegation in early October, the Amity scholars began preparing for the most popular Hindu festival of India - Diwali. And it was formally observed on 22nd October 2019 , just before the country-wide public holidays for the same.

The festivities coincided with the annual celebration of BHAAG, the success mantra formulated by the school’s Founder President Sir Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan and Chairperson Ma’am Dr. (Mrs.) Amita Chauhan. Last year, BHAAG was observed at this international curriculum school of Delhi NCR with Gandhi Jayanti event.

Students, teachers and support staff whole heartedly contributed in giving the school a festive look with generous use of earthen pots, diyas and lanterns. In addition to this, the ethnic outfits donned by the students for the event made the environment even more colourful and jolly.

A special assembly was conducted on the day to underscore the Vedic significance of Diwali and how it symbolises the victory of good over evil. The assembly was initiated with a presentation on BHAAG.

The students then articulated their thoughts on the beauty of this festival and the relevance of epic Ramayana in the modern context. They also presented a skit demonstrating Diwali celebrations in India and other parts of the world. This was followed by a monologue from a student dressed as Ravan. The young actor cast a lasting impression on the audience.

The PYP students of this leading Cambridge school In Delhi NCR made the assembly more special by reminding the viewers of their responsibilities in celebrating Diwali. They also delivered a thrilling dance performance.

All in all it was an eco-friendly and clean celebration wherein the students pledged to stay away from polluting crackers that scare animals, birds, new born babies, and only harm the environment. The School Principal Mrs.Jayashree Kad too emphasized upon the ill-effects of crackers and conveyed her blessings for the scholars of Amity Global School on this festive occasion.
