Metro Safety Training provides workplace safety courses across British Columbia, including training for workers exposed to toxic materials.

6-June-2022: According to Canadian Law, employers are legally obliged to provide life-saving first-aid training to their employees. Metro Safety Training has taken it upon itself to provide safety education across British Columbia, so people would know how to react in an emergency. Being adequately prepared in the face of an emergency can help decrease the fatality rates. Asbestos, lead, and silica awareness testing is a part of their workplace safety course. This course is specially designed for people who deal with exposure to environmental toxins at their workplaces. The course syllabus is designed as per Occupational Health and Safety Regulation Part 6.

Metro Safety Training's course contains two parts. The theoretical part includes in-depth information about the hazards of asbestos, lead, and silica toxins and the ways workers can protect themselves from these hazards. The second part is based on the practical portion, which will provide workers with hands-on training and experience.

A spokesperson at Metro Training Safety said, "We were always aware of people's lack of first-aid knowledge, and, of course, basic first-aid knowledge helps save lives. This was our motivation to start Metro Safety Training. Since then, we have also included workplace safety courses. The training course on asbestos, lead, and silica is especially for workers who work around these toxins but don't have much knowledge about their hazards. We are training workers so they can better protect themselves against these toxins and learn how to react in case of an emergency."

Metro Safety Training offers first-aid training courses, including occupational first-aid training, emergency first-aid training, and CPR training. They also offer part-time courses to encourage people with a busy schedule. Their workplace safety courses have helped many employers manage the medical expenses of their employees.
