California, December 1st, 2017: Cannabis On Fire! has made headlines following the news of its tremendous success in gaining cannabis permits for its business. Trying to balance the destruction of poor neighborhoods caused by the drug war, last year City of Oakland boldly enacted a law that entrepreneurs from neighborhoods most affected during the drug war receive priority for the limited number of cannabis business licenses. More than 1,000 other applicants sought similar permits when the opportunity knocked. The equity program allows the start-up company not only to cultivate and sell cannabis, but also distribute and transport cannabis legally.

The recent changes in regulations surrounding cannabis in the State of California has been widely reported. It quickly became the talk of the town after release of the 276 pages of new regulations. Both aspiring and other long-standing cannabis dispensaries, cultivators, manufactures and distributors must abide by the lengthy rules starting January 1st of the next year.
