Wadsworth, OH— February 7th, 2023 — Today, Wadsworth resident Matthew Minor announced the launch of a Kickstarter page for his next short film, Christain Sisters: Chapter II, due for release next year.
“Chapter II will set the stage for the series going forward, introducing the terrifying new villain, and infinitely raising the stakes and showing the threat to Sherrie, Kristi, and the world is all too real,” said Matthew, who takes over producing and financing for the series with departure of Anthony Kulton of Portage Lakes Media and Ralph Lumley, Stark State media instructor and producer of The Christain Sisters, stepped back to position of executive producer.
The Christain Sisters, the first episode in a proposed series, was a hit on Minor’s YouTube channel with close to 200 views despite mixed reviews from critics. While the ambition and acting were praised, technical aspects like editing and sound were criticized for being rough and amateurish. Minor promises that Chapter II will be better technically than its predecessor, thanks to added experience and the hiring of skilled editor Adam Davis. Other newcomers include actors Debby Gerber, Kayce Kvacek, Michelle Stuper, and Ryan Luther.
Christain Sisters: Chapter II is due for release in February 2024, with the potential to be released in select Ohio theaters as well as YouTube and Vimeo.
