Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri believes patient education is important. He has plenty of volunteer experience and regularly held seminars and medications reviews in different senior citizen homes.

Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri holds a Pharmacy degree from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is injection and immunization certified and has training in anticoagulant accu-check, medicine reviews training by Nova Pharm, Red Cross training in first aid and CPR, and diabetes care training.

As a pharmacist, Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri knows medication can be a double-edged sword. In proper amounts, medication is used to treat ailments and disease but if used incorrectly intentionally or accidently, negative consequences are possible. As a result, Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri has made patient education a large part of his practice as a pharmacist. "If ever there is a patient curious about their medication, I always take the time out to speak with them in-depth about the medication, what it is used for, how it relates to their care, and other treatment options available," says Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri.

Being trained in medicine review, Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri often writes about disease states and the medications used for treatment. "I have written and reviewed medication used for Alzheimer's, diabetes, colitis, hypertension, heart disease, MS, eczema, and more. Many of my reviews are written in Persian language magazines," states Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri.

As an alternative to writing reviews of medication in magazines, Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri also holds seminars and medicine reviews in places he will be visible and available to the public. As many patients who rely on medicine regularly are senior citizens, Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri thought it was only natural to present many of his seminars in senior citizen houses.

Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri tries to spread news and information about medication as far as he can in his local area. Instead of revising the same couple homes repeatedly, Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri visits various houses and organizations around Toronto, Ontario and Halifax, Nova Scotia. The reviews provided by Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri have helped many people.

Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri considers his seminars as another way of helping his community. He has demonstrated his generosity by volunteering as much as he is capable. Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri volunteers as a pharmacist in small villages in Iran and in the IWK hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Masoud Amidi-Mazaheri's seminars and volunteer works demonstrate his readiness to help others, his caring and compassionate nature, and his desire to educate people on the diseases affecting their lives.
