Summer day camp keeps kids learning even when school's out. With nature hikes, swimming, sailing, theatrical skits, arts and crafts, acting, field trips and various athletic activities, kids are constantly learning new skills, tapping into their creative sides and along the way learning a lot about them.

Nature
Many camps include nature-based activities as a part of each day. Whether it's hiking in the woods, exploring marine life along beaches or observing birds in a local park, day camps introduce kids to so many of the wonders of nature. Kids learn to appreciate the natural world through hiking, fishing, guided treks through the woods and so many more adventurous outdoor explorations and activities.

Field Trips
Many summer day camps have organized field trips where campers journey off to a variety of destinations including museums, aquariums, national parks, zoos and historic sites. While visiting marine life,awe-inspiring dinosaur exhibits and incredible zoo habitats, kids get to meet plenty of wildlife on summer day camp trips. Historic sites offer youngsters the chance for a more hands-on understanding of history as costumed docents lead them through cobbled streets or act as shopkeepers and mariners on the recreated streets of anyplace from an intriguing Revolutionary War fort to a rural New England farming town or 19th century seafaring village.

Sport Skills
There are tons of sports to choose from at camp: basketball, softball, swimming, soccer and so many more. Teamwork, fair play and cooperation are stressed, rather than the more negative aspects of competition. Whether your child is the star of his Little League Team or tends to dread gym class, camp is the place where everybody plays and counselors are trained to be sure they have fun when they do. Many kids are surprised to find they actually aren't too bad at shooting baskets or letting loose a mean tennis serve, and that sports can actually be fun. On the other hand, more athletic kids get the hang of relaxing and having fun with a sport rather than constantly worrying about the big win, and they learn to play with teammates who are not at their level.

Creative Endeavors
From crazy t -shirts and silly puppets to acapella singing and comedic renditions, kids at day camp get to let their creative spirits roar. While creating everything from nature collages to wind chimes, leaf prints and sand candles, youngsters experience the joy of using paints, feathers, fabric and other materials to make something beautiful, useful or just plain fun. Many camps incorporate the arts into a regular camping day in the form of arts and crafts, sing-a-longs and theatrical skits, while others may run specialized weeks of camp for theater, visual arts or music. A week of drama camp as organised by the Kids Act LA, for example, may teach everything from how to audition to acting skills and performance basics, all coming together at the end of the week for a super show for fellow campers and parents.

Personal Growth
Kids learn so much about themselves in day camp. They learn how to take healthy risks trying new things and how to make new friends. Depending on the activities they choose, they may also find some previously unknown passion or talent, from singing to t-shirt designing, skit-writing or pottery. The fun-filled, slightly goofy atmosphere of camp lets them dare to be themselves, to be a little different than they may be at school and to have the courage to let their true personalities shine through.

Although, the law doesn’t allow for us to offer guaranties, our success rate is tremendous, because we are a selective acting school in Orange County and Los Angeles.
