Jasmeet Baduwalia, best known for his role as Ravi Shaw on Netflix’s Power Rangers Beast Morphers, is set to star in Carp-e Diem. Emily Sweet (Castle Freak, Fear Pharm), Lukas Silva (Stripped, Three Clicks) and newcomer Nick Josten also star.
MJ Palo and Andrew Arguello are directing the dark crime-comedy. The plot, which was written by MJ Palo (Baby Money) and Gregory Klino, follows a pregnant drifter couple – Natasha and Vern – who invade a home of two drug dealers and inadvertently kill them. Their initial plan to stay for a few days and rob the place quickly changes after they find a closet full of cocaine. Seeing a way to make easy money, Natasha and Vern decide to take over the drug business. However, things start to go awry when the drug kingpin's son arrives to keep an eye on things, the nosy neighbor sees more than he should, DEA is closing in on the cartel, and the real father of the baby is coming for Natasha.
