After receiving a declining response in customers’ feedback, major airlines across America have decided to change their travel offerings from regular one-pack deal to a-la-carte.

Evidently, most airlines had adopt the method to increase air revenue by taking in higher price on fare which includes ticket price, consistent food items, free beverages, blankets & pillows, set of selected newspapers, and whatever else that can be possibly provided.

However, due to dissatisfaction of majority of flyers (many of whom are frequent) who do not engage in many free services provided and wish for something different let suppose in food, this system of service has slowly begun to be repulsed by large mass.

Airlines being aware of such scenario have thus began the “a-la-carte” practice, which on record was initiated early this year and is followed by Air Canada. The goal is to give passengers low airfares and make them pay only for the services they want to undertake.

On the same accord, American Airlines Executive VP of Marketing - Daniel Garton said in an interview, “We as an industry have opted to not just raise (ticket) prices but to raise prices and change the fee structure. If there was not a change, you’re not going to be talking about fees and about lost service, but being able to have a flight to San Diego instead.”

Early this year, one or two airline companies did initiate the dropping fuel charges from fare breakup when oil cost dropped. Some have started giving a-la-carte to not only tango but also other general classes. They feel most of the frequent flyers and destination seekers book economy class. So, turning the service to general class will be a mutually comforting situation. However, many airlines are still in the decisive state of whether or not to implement it.
