NSW, ST CLAIR, July 09, 2014---The terms that describe social media companies, refer to two groups of establishments. For a start, those who promote a social media are social media starters in one sense. Again, those who have taken up a policy of tracking customer response, operations of public relations, etc. through social media s- are also often called companies which are in the social network media. Technically responsibilities of both the above types of companies are wide ranging. One hankers for assimilating more and more people on its platform and the other plans constantly to utilize the huge population on such media for promoting their brand or for the sake of humanity.

Regarding the promoters of social media, it can be said that these companies commenced their venture as mere start ups and gradually worked their way up as owners or promoters of all pervading social networks. The renowned Mr. Mark Zuckerberg of the omnipresent Facebook is one such individual who owns an internationally renowned social media marketing companies. . There is quite a handful of examples. Orkut or, Twitter are both famed social media. Millions of people use these networks today for various causes. Individuals log into these networks side by side corporate and NGOs - to acquire friends or acquaintances or to promote their products or for a humanitarian cause etc.

On the other hand, we find that a portion of the corporate entity and even medium sized and micro sized firms are also having accounts in the social media and they also form a part of social media company. Today, the development sector, nonprofit organizations are also promoting their avenues of work in the society by interacting with all classes of internet surfing people by means of the social media. In this way their message is being spread or their brand image is being created within households or among groups of people in a very effective way. These are the marvels of the social media - something which originated only a decade and a half ago.

These are, in their turn, the fruits of developments in science and technology. Man is more connected nowadays thanks to the cyberspace and that is the channel utilized by social media to unite the vast world population. This speaks volumes of how men and women are connected in the modern era - especially the countries, booming with billion strong populations like China and India. These all have happened due to the efforts of the companies engaged in or with social media. The question that haunts us, at this juncture, is that whether the companies are able to fully tap the huge potential of the all pervading social media.

The answer is probably in the negative. So far only a minor portion of business entities has fully utilized the immense potential. Probably only 12% of the corporations have full social media utilization set up for in place. It is as paltry as that! Among the residual -- a large proportion is only in the process of getting there and the still remaining ones are yet to understand or are in a position to comprehend the opportunities. They need to realize that this is the future of all endeavors. Only then will, be the efforts of the social media promoters be substantiated fully.
