The Taphouse Group is pleased to announce the renovation of the Babalou restaurant and bar into a premier wedding and events center. The newly renovated Babalou will reopen in September of 2014 newly outfitted to host exciting and memorable weddings, corporate events, birthdays, cocktail parties and more.

The new events center will continue to provide a highly experienced catering staff and cocktail mixologists to create a fantastic range of premier cocktails that are guaranteed to make your event just a little more special and fun. You can expect the highest service standards and a staff dedicated to ensuring every detail of your event is carefully planned and executed to your standards.

What will not be changing are the fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean and Cook Island that span out across to Fingal Headland where you can take magical photos and create memories that will last you a lifetime. Brides that dare to be different will thrill to the impressive beach setting where you and your guests can escape busy tourist areas and enjoy Babalou’s beautiful venue and excellent cuisine. Creating custom wedding receptions is Babalou’s specialty. We begin with creating the perfect drink packages. Beverage options at Babalou are limitless. From an extensive range of wines, sparkling sodas, spirits, bottled beers, and beverages on tap you can design a package that is perfect for your reception. Drink packages start in four-hour blocks. You can choose from a standard drink package or a deluxe drink package. Babalou even provides for bar tabs and individual drinks purchased for consumption.

Not to be outdone by the drinks menu, the cuisine is nothing short of excellent. The food options are many. Standard wedding reception styles at Babalou include set menus, alternate drop seated meals, share plates, canapés, even high teas. The bridal couple decides the style of the reception and the foods. If none of our regular meal styles suit your occasion we will work with you to customize the perfect wedding reception.

Babalou even takes care of after party transportation. The bar runs a free 10-seat courtesy bus service that runs locally on Friday and Saturday nights to help transport guests to their accommodation. You can work with the wedding planner to arrange pick-up times and locations for your event.
