In partnership with Mungo, a renowned textile company based in South Africa, Lalibella has recently announced its newest collection of Kikoi blanket wraps, which effortlessly blend tradition, comfort and style. Designed and handwoven at Mungo’s Mill in Plettenberg Bay, each wrap is a testament to the talent and artistry of the artisans involved.

The Kikoi wraps come in a variety of colours to suit different aesthetics and are meticulously woven using 100%, high-quality cotton. The word ‘Kikoi’ (or Kikoy) derives from the Swahili word for ‘wrap’ or ‘something to wrap around you’, which indicates how versatile these pieces are. The wraps are commonly used as sarongs, skirts, towels, head wraps, dresses and more.

All of Lalibella’s profits are deposited into the charity Give A Future, a NGO that has supported thousands of women and children in Ethiopia, through education, training and micro-finance. Lalibella’s mission is to support more projects that empower and employ marginalised groups in small African communities, whilst providing high quality, stylish products that will elevate any interior.
