Lalibella has recently added Sidai hoops to its existing African-inspired jewellery collection, which is currently made up of a variety of unique bracelets, necklaces, earrings and rings. The Sidai hoops are delicately handmade by Maasai women in Arusha, Tanzania.

Sidai hoops have been part of Lalibella’s jewellery collection for a while, and have always been popular amongst customers. Recently, the Sidai ‘Semi-Precious’ hoops have been introduced, coming in different sizes and designs. All of the new Sidai hoops are made from 14K gold, and have been decorated with high-quality glass beads in pink sapphire, rose quartz or peach moonstone, as well as Swarovski crystals.

The earrings can easily be worn alone, or perfectly paired with a larger version of Lalibella’s assorted beaded hoops. The semi-precious gemstones have been said to bring a calming, positive energy, to uplift the wearer. The Sidai earrings are a tribute to young Maasai girls, who traditionally will learn to bead from their mothers whilst singing.
