Lakshya institute, an institute of Chandigarh has broken all records this year as its student, Sarvesh Mehtani has secured the first rank in the competitive IIT-JEE exam, 2017.

Sarvesh belongs to Haryana and is a student of Bhavan Vidyalaya School.He scored 339 out of 366 marks. His aim was to study in one of the top engineering colleges of India and now wants to study computer science engineering from the reputed IIT-Bombay.

In an interview, Sarvesh said that he used to study regularly for 7-8 hours per day at home besides the preparation in coaching classes. Sometimes he used to sit there for long hours at a stretch.

When asked about how he kept himself stress free, he said that Doraemon magic worked for him. He used to read novels, play Badminton and watch cartoons, especially Doraemon, the famous Japanese animation series.
Sarvesh further added that sometimes he used to sit in his coaching classes along with other batch mates right from 5:30 in the early morning till 12 am at midnight. He said that he never felt the pressure of studies as the mentors made sure that the students received their due share of recreation. At the same time, all the students were in the preparation mode so no one felt that unwanted pressure.

Along with Sarvesh, two other students came out with flying colors, Ashish Waikar and Manthan Jindal, who secured 7th and 32nd ranks respectively in the exam.
