271 Immigrants Invited in Latest BC PNP Draw for Provincial Nomination

Total 271 immigrants invited in latest BC PNP draw through Skilled Immigration and Express Entry BC streams for provincial nomination on April 16.

 
Province of British Columbia invited a total of 271 immigrants who have applied for a provincial nomination through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) for Canada permanent residency in the latest provincial draw on April 16.

According to the BCPNP web page, immigrants with work experience in selected occupations were targeted as these occupations were the one’s that are majorly affected by the Coronavirus. As a result following 34 occupations were not included in this latest draw:

Retail and Wholesale Trade Managers
Restaurant and food service Managers
Accommodation service Managers
Managers in costumer and personal services, n.e.c
Professional occupations in advertising, marketing, and public relations
Administrative assistants
Massage therapists
Retails sales supervisors
Food service supervisors
Accommodation, travel, tourism and related services supervisors
Chefs
Cooks
Hairstylists and Barbers
Retail salespersons
Maîtres d’hôtel and hosts/hostesses
Bartenders
Food and beverage servers
Travel counselors
Pursers and flight attendants
The airline ticket and service agents
Ground and water transport ticket agents, cargo service representatives and related clerks
Hotel front desk clerks
Tour and travel guides
Outdoor sport and recreational guides
Casino occupations
Estheticians, electrologists, and related occupations
Other personal service occupations
Cashiers
Service station attendants
Food counter attendants, kitchen helpers, and related support occupations
Operators and attendants in amusement, recreation, and sport
Light duty cleaners
Support occupations in accommodation, travel, and facilities set-up services
271 immigrants were selected through BC PNP’s Skilled Immigration and Express Entry BC Stream. Both streams have their own requirements.

Under the Skills Immigration stream, candidates were invited from the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, and Entry Level and Semi-Skilled sub-categories. Minimum score requirements were 85 for Entry Level and Semi-Skilled candidates, and 100 for the other two sub-categories.

Express Entry BC candidates had profiles in the federal Express Entry system. They were invited through the Express Entry BC Skilled Worker and International Graduate sub-categories. The minimum provincial score requirements were 105 and 102, respectively.

Those who received an invitation to apply now have up to 30 calendar days from the day they receive their invitation to submit a complete application to the BC PNP for the provincial nomination.
