Dealing with questions like: If today were your last day on Earth, would heaven be waiting for you? How do you know if God exists? And just generally dealing with the topics of life, death, and family, are all in a day’s work for the High Desert’s Victory Christian Center Pastor, Al Zorn.

Founded in 1997, Pastor Al as he is often referred to, and his wife Ronda have been, “Teaching the Word of God in a practical, applicable way” at Victory Christian Center (VCC) in Victorville, CA since they took over the church from its founder, Pastor Tom Pickens in 2003.

For Pastor Al, and Ms. Ronda, leading the Victory Christian Center is a family affair. Two of their three children are involved in running the church. Son, Al III and his wife Bridgette are the Children’s Ministry Directors, while daughter Monique is the Youth Director. Their other daughter Christina runs a local dance studio.

The VCC touts itself as, ”a vibrant, growing ministry that is reaching people of every race, creed and nationality.” Pastor Al, Ms. Ronda and the Zorn family share the purpose of Christianity by being dedicated to helping church goers understand the Word of God as written in the bible. They teach church goers how they can apply the Bible’s teaching for today’s life. As their website says, “We understand that the gospel must be understood in order for God's Word to be applicable in everyday life. “

Pastor Al is ready to share the word with all who will listen, for all who are searching, and for all who are lost in their faith. His message helps break down walls of intimidation for new people interested in hearing the Word, especially for the first time. The VCC’s friendly environment welcomes all. Set in a Victorville business park, the VCC is located in a place where it can attract and reach people in their mainstream life paths.

The church’s vision says, “We believe in going outside our walls and servicing our community through our community awareness events, special adult and children's events, helping troubled teens, those who have been abused, and loving the elderly.“ The VCC follows this vision by having many types of outreach and fellowship programs.

Focused on the whole family, the VCC has age appropriate programs for children, and teens. They offer programs for adults ranging from fellowships for Men and Women, to family support and marriage small group support. For those who are unable to attend, the church records their sermons and provides Podcasts so anyone can listen to sermons while on the go, when they miss the primary services or when they wish to re-listen to services.

Victory Christian Center is a Christian Church in Victorville, CA, serving all of the High Desert. With services held Sunday mornings at 9:30 am and Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm, the church's office is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
