There has always been a desire to travel amongst people: whether it is about exploring or discovering new lands or simply for one's own enjoyment.

There has always been a desire to travel amongst people: whether it is about exploring or discovering new lands or simply for one's own enjoyment. Almost everyone you know probably lists travelling as one of their passions in life. In fact, we all seem to be quite enamoured with the idea of travel - a quick escape to doing something absolutely fun and adventurous and meeting new people. While all of this sounds absolutely enthralling, travelling is also one of the most life-affirming things you can do for yourself, especially when you're single.

Suhel Seth, an Indian businessman, columnist, actor and keynote speaker, who is also the founder and managing partner of the consultancy firm Counselage India, is all about that travel life. According to him, the best part of being single is very simple - it is one's ability to travel without his wife yanking one's chain. All you have to do is get up, pack up and leave. Neither do you have to proffer to anyone nor do you have to justify an extended trip or a trip cut short. So, for all the single men brooding over their sad singlehood, it is time to buckle up and finally enjoy all that life has to offer!

Every time Seth is asked whether he feels lonely when he travels alone, he comes up with quite a witty and yet, logical answer to it - considering the fact that almost every luxurious hotel has a range of amenities starting from a fitness centre to a spa, absolutely great room service to a gazillion other single people hoping to meet at such exotic locales, there is no way one can feel lonely. In fact, life for singles is quite romantic when you travel, if you know how to make the best out of it.

When you're travelling on your own, you can put the television on full volume without having to worry about disturbing your partner. You can visit as many museums as you want or simply laze around on your luxuriously comfortable bed without a care in the world. Single men do seem enjoy their travels a lot more than one would imagine.

Just like anyone else, travel definitely brings out the best in single men. It makes men dress every evening feeling quite like Napoleon, ready to conquer the world. It brings about a spring in one's step, and a wide smile on one's face. What's best is, a single man who travels alone wouldn't have to worry about the death-stares from the wife especially when they're drinking too much.

To conclude, Suhel Seth also mentions that single men mostly belong to a happy state of mind. In fact, like most other things, travel isn't a liberator for them, but the elixir of their being. Well, so the next time any of you single ladies see a single man at the bar, all you have to do is smile and watch as your world transforms!
